Received mine today. The coins is very nice; the colour is awesome. Have to say the crystal is lacking - very ordinary glass, no prism colour and little 'shine'. IMO it adds nothing to the coin.

Still, I like the overall appearance and the coin was put on last chance yesterday so it appears headed for another sell out despite the ever increasing price of just 1 oz of silver.

I'm jealous. I haven't even received my order from Feb yet let alone one I put in just a couple of weeks ago!

Cool!

SilverBug: it would be a nice addition to your display case, I believe!

kuh_85: I think you should go knock on their doors and talk to some supervisors. If the mint is seriously understaffed, I'll consider moving to Ottawa.

It's worth noting that 2010 and 2011 coins are still available at mint's price (and sometimes cheaper on ebay) so probably not a best investment.
But I got one 2012 extra just in case :)

This one is much better than those were released in 2010 and 2011.
2009 crystal maple leaf coin is also pretty.

What a beautiful coin!

Can tell from the photos that the "raindrop" might be a little over-the-top, but not enough to detract from the coin. I'm jealous of you folks up north; the RCM gets it right so much more than the US Mint does. Love the offerings!

That's very nice. I actually like the raindrop. Most of the series is great though.

How about a Glass Bug Blown on the $20 Swarovski Leaf coins? Now thats what I call a coin. I will toss this idea at the mint and see what they think!

I like the Water Lily and Wild Rose more than the Maples. The third in the Lily/Rose set should be out with the next spring release soon.

Got my order a few days ago. I think the coins look great but I don't think it's a great investment.

The RCM web changed the shipping date of this maple to 07-05-2012.

Now I wonder how do I read this "Date"? It seems more like "Next Shipping Date" rather than "1st Shipping Date", since we all know people do get them in hand way before that date. Or were they just isolated cases?

I miss our Ms. RCM Rep here.

Although I wouldn't argue with the fact that these aren't investment pieces, I don't know why people always bring it up so much. I can't imagine that's the main reason why collectors buy them. I buy NCLTs because I find them aesthetically pleasing and a lot cheaper and more spatially practical than collecting wall art. In my home, I ran out of wall space years ago, thanks to my better half. I don't have the 2012 but plan on getting it later on. My favorite probably remains the 2008, which I believe was the first.

I buy them primarily for the art. Also a bit for the history with some of them. Also a bit because I guess I'm OCD and like to complete sets! I hope they'll at least maintain their value but that will be for my kids to worry about after I'm gone!
