Let me first apologize too anyone believing that clicking on this thread would view a genuine Double Die Error... I only posted this because I was playing around with my camera, taking a photo of a coin under a magnifying glass (as another poster mentioned he does to get some great photos)... I was surprised when the photo showed a normal 2012 LMC as a DDO cent in the photo... I'm not 100% sure how it happened, but when I had taken additional photos, none of the other photos showed any type of doubling...

The shutter was set on a longer exposure. When you moved the coin the shutter was open and you captured the 2012 moving up and down.

Thanks, it must have been my hypertension level when holding the camera... Guess next time i'll have to take a few pressure pills before taking photos...
I only posted this in fun as I thought it odd...
My next post will be a serious one about the new ebay rules on certified coins, I'm just not sure what catagory to post the thread in...

Brighter light would have solved part of the issue here. A tripod for the camera and a sturdy place to sit the coin would have solved the rest of the issue.

hand-holding a coin AND a point and shoot camera trying to get macro detail in normal room lighting will never work. Too many variables.

Additionally, they are 'doubled dies' - not 'double dies' - and NONE of them are 'errors'.
