Okay so banks do carry or have been known to carry unc rolls?

I pick up boxes of cents and nickels frequently from my Bank of America branches here in TX. I get about 1 UNC box for every two I buy. So yes, very common for banks to have UNC rolls. At least in my experience.

Banks can't generally request uncirculated rolls, they get them more-or-less at random. If you buy boxes regularly from banks, sometimes you'll get uncirculated.

I rarely get UNC boxes from banks and as some of you know I have gone through a few in my time. Way back when I could sometimes order a mint sewn bag, those were the days. Check here but I have not dealt with them myself http://pennies.com/John1

Around here the banks that use Brinks always have circulated. The ones that use Garda usually have the uncirculated during at least the first half of the year. Around here it depends on which carrier the banks contract with.

I had to look...
Looked at where you are from, "still lookin", and you are from the same state as me (KY). Had to look because I was going to type the same thing as you. I stay away from Central and Chase banks (Garda) for that reason; I almost always get solid new coin rolls from them, but in the five years I have been roll searching around here only got new from Brinks once, and even those had a few old ones sprinkled in. thatguyayers, just keep checking local banks in your area, as banks are supplied with coin by a handful of different armored vendors. You will eventually find UNC rolls, especially if you are finding a lot of 2012-D coins in your change. Somebody has to be putting them out there!
Another thing you can do: in simply running around living your everyday life when you are in stores purchasing stuff look in open cash drawers and see if that store has coin trays full of new coins. If so go to the customer service counter and see if they will tell you what bank they deal with. I would see no reason why they wouldn't tell you. Go to that bank; UNC rolls will hopefully be waiting for you!

Earlier this year I got some of those brinks rolls with mostly new 2012-P but a few old ones sprinkled in. I just went through them, and cherry-picked the nicer ones to make my own rolls. I searched them for varieties too, but all of the new cents seemed to come from only about half a dozen different dies, so I filled a couple tubes with solid with a couple minor trail dies I found.

Quote: So I went to the bank today to try and buy some unc rolls of pennies and they informed to to buy them from the Denver mint That bank teller was clueless and probably did not want to bother checking roll ends for new issues. The US Mint does not sell 2012 cents to the public except in Mint and Proof Sets with all the denominations. The four types of 2009 Bicentennial Lincolns were sold by the Mint in P&D roll sets but that was an exception.

The Washington State is a pretty bad place to buy rolls. Did you try Washington Federal? You might not fnd new rolls but you still could find lots of silver halves. I have a feeling that they don't have machines.

Seemed like a couple of months ago my penny CRH was just about put on hold when it seemed like every box I got was uncirculated.
