Can you take a picture that shows the whole coin and the reverse? I am almost inclined to say a monster Cud...

It looks like the die cracked so bad that it is actually out of round and some ( a lot ) of the die is missing producing this amazing defective die mint error. I doubt there are many of this one around, they probably caught it soon enough with this much damage. Excellent find!

Shows what I know.I didn't notice the rim myself.I was just focused on the what looks like a gouge that runs across "Trust"

I don't want you to get too excited on my guess, but I think you have a much better error here than your everyday Cud.
I know we have some very knowledgeable error people here in this forum so hopefully somebody will come along and put a description to it.

Why do I keep thinking of
The Elephant Man
and him saying

" I am NOT an animal !"?

Let me ask this .. that area just after T in TRUST ... is it raised higher than, or at least up to the rim before it, or is is lower like a dent? Is it raised all the way over from the T to the top of his head at 12:00 along where the rim should be?

Looks like the metal on that slice has been taken away and flipped over the rim. Hope these three photos help.

Uh ... I don't think that's so good of a sign if it is cut away and pushed over the edge of the rim.
Even if it was a "struck through" error where something got in between the die and the planchet when it was struck, the collar would have retained the edge and that blob wouldn't be there ... I don't think so anyways.
It's starting to look like an animal, and an abused one.
I thought that the affected area looked raised to me like a " Cud".
But hey, I dunno for sure.
