The "rim
Cud" is on the obverse at 9"30 a raised lump of metal. The other areas on the rim in the obverse (front) from 1:00 to 3:00 are most defintely scratches and deep ones at that, this makes the coin loose around half it's value or more, the obverse damage is more costly than reverse damage to most collectors. I'd grade the coin AU details recolored, cleaned and obverse damage, netting it out at F-VF price at best.
