So I decided to take my first coin photographs the other day. It wasn't for anything in my collection, though I hope to be getting some of those photographed later today. Instead, it was for a penny in my change jar (I was checking through there before bringing the jar to the bank to add to the wedding fund). I've never personally seen a coin in so rough a shape. Part of me wonders what in the world happened to this coin. It's like it went through a woodchipper or something. Anybody have any coins they've come across and wondered "What did they do to you?"

I think the ugliest coins in every case are zinc Lincoln cents clad in copper. They just look like garbage.

Every time a thread like this starts I post this cent that I've had for a number of years. Strangely enough, it looks like the twin to SaintRidley's!

This is my ugliest coin. So much so I cant even identify it. For all I know it could be a medal and worth a million bucks.
