It is Wikipedia. You can fix that for them. Nice catch.

Maybe they are talking about regular circulation currency and not commemorative coins?

Maybe so, but that is not how it is written. Again, easily fixed.

Good catch ... and correct indeed that the 1893 Isabella Quarter featured the image of Spanish Queen Isabella on the obverse ... she was the sponsor of Columbus voyages to the 'new world' ... so the theme fit in well with the 1892 Columbian World's Exposition. This coin was the first ever USA mint coin to exhibit the image of a foreign royalty/monarch. I'll go one further and note that the 1928 Hawaiian half dollar featured another monarch ... King of Hawaii when explorer James Cook showed up in January, 1778 to spoil the paradise. :) Photo of unnamed ... but most likely a representation of King Kamehameha on my MS example ... The Hawaiian quarter is the only business strike to show royalty, but there have been several commemorative coins Queen Isabella on the Isabella Quarter, William the Silent on the Huguenot-Walloon half, and the Hawiian king on the Hawaiian half dollar.

Good job. I was wondering who would do it. I started to, but decided to give the OP a chance.
