is it just me, or do you notice the price difference of Canadian error coins and their american counterparts? Also , I see a fast rising demand for Canadian error coins and currency, in the market.

nuemistman!

I don't know about the American error coins, I don't follow them, but I do notice on ebay at least that coins I was picking up for 50c or a dollar are now going for 7 or 8 times as that. Or more, if the coin is nice and the error sweet. Sometimes I'd get a nice large chip error and pay next to nothing, and then a year or so later I see the same one go for ten bucks. I don't know how people are finding out about these beauties but I wish they'd leave the ones I want to buy alone! lol hahahaha

People are becoming more aware of the possibilities, on Canadian errors, and I think theres alot more to find out there,, the prices do appear to be going up fast.

Prices going up is good if your a seller but bad for folks like us who are collecting. I was kind of hoping ebay would have a separate section for Canadian errors like they do for U.S.

i just dont understand the microscopic errors commanding a premium.

if you cant see it with the naked eye then is it an error or "within tollerances"?

i dunno.... seems if you look hard enough you could find something wrong with every coin...

I like the fact that all errors are not listed under one Error section for Canadian coins on ebay.
Less competition for me to buy them!
I actually have to search for them. If they were all under one heading then every coin buyer in the country would zero in on that heading with a bowl of popcorn in hand waiting for the final countdown on each error coin.

The 2007 1 cent posted looks to me to be PMD. Better picture is required tho.

I agree with the nickelsguy, there is a bulge on third side of coin which would be from a squeeze job.

New pic posted, in defence of the last one, I must say, if was a squeese job, it was done at the mint, cause it looks to me, under mag that there are no sharp cuts on the coin, also if it was squeezed PMD , wouldn`t the silver color show though? Looks like it went through the coating prossess in this state, well I`ll post it in the near future for your scrutiny!lol also, thanks for your input, and this great forum, Guys!

the rim of the 07 was squeezed after the strike causing the damage on both sides. PMD.
