I was given this coin after my grand-father passed. I would greatly appreciate any help identifying his coin as either small bead, or large bead.

I would definitely say small bead.

Compare your coin to the pictures on this page. http://www.coinsandcanada.com/coins...ar-1953-1986 My eyes aren't very good but I'd lean towards agreeing with DBM that it's large beads. Also small beads are pretty rare. :-)

A points toward a bead...Large, between beads...Small...or visa versa,,, I cannot remember
