Here is a 1787 Maris 43-d, New Jersey Colonial Copper.

These are hard to grade as you have to take into consideration weak strikes as many of the dies were in various states of disrepair.

Note: The color looks off because of an obvious old cleaning which left the surfaces artificially shiny. The coin looks MUCH better in hand than the scans allow.

Anyone care to take a guess at the grade?

Welcome jerseyben.
The obverse exhibits obvious die wear with the reverse also showing signs but not like the obverse. Separating actual wear vs. strike, I'd put your coin at F12 or near there. My opinion of course.
