I find them quite often, but in "doses." E.g., my store goes through roughly one $25 box of pennies per week, and two weeks ago I had to take six dimes out of the pennies in my coin changer, plus I found another two on my own (from the same roll, no less--keep that up and I'll get rich!). But this week? Only one, and it was so black I was only able to identify it as a dime after I tossed it in a dollop of degreaser to see if there were even any features under the grime, or if it was a slug. We get our change from Wells Fargo, but I'm not sure what company wraps their change. It's those my-kingdom-for-paper-wrappers plastic shrinkwrappy things, if that helps with ID.
I have just the opposite problem. I get pennies in my nickel rolls and even my HALF DOLLAR rolls, and they are replacing the other coin, not an added bonus.
I remember back a few years ago in 2 rolls of dimes each with a one cent in them. 49 dimes and a one cent. Whoever the cheapskate was had no clue about silver. Each roll had a silver dime in it. Laugh's on him.
Did a box of nickels today, one roll had a dime in it, 2010 Canadian... First time I've had a dime in a nickel roll, but not that uncommon for me to find a dime in a penny roll, it happens from time to time. What sucks is when a penny turns up in a nickel roll, and even worse a nickel in a quarter roll! Now that happens a lot more often... :-/
