This is more a personal-interest question than anything else, but ...

For those of you who search rolls of pennies, how often do you find a dime in a BWR? I probably find two or three dimes in every box I get from the bank, and I was wondering if this was unusual. I've never found one in a customer-wrapped roll; only in rolls from Brinks.

Once in a while. Maybe a dollar's worth of dimes in all the pennies I have searched, maybe $1000 worth. I find more foreign coins, usually Canadian, but I have found other nationalities.

I often find dimes in bank-wrapped nickel rolls actually. :-)

(And I recently had to re-organize my foreign-coins-found-in-bank-wrapped-rolls collection, too, as it is getting *big.* :-) )

I'm not surprised, as every time I dump dimes, several are counted as cents and end up in the cent bag. Which then end up in boxes.

I usually find one or two dimes in each box of cents. I was searching a box of nickels last week and couldn't get the coins from the paper tube. Turned out that there was a quarter jammed in that roll.

I find quite a bit of them in the penny boxes, usually 1 every three boxes on average. In fact, I found a 1980 Canadian dime this past weekend.
