I have a 1979-D copper quarter. Has anyone ever seen one or one for sell?

Depending on what happened to it. Some quarters may be missing the cupro cladding on one side or the other. They will look copper:

Sometimes they dip the quarter to remove the layer/layers:

The acid dipped are PMD/PSD.
The missing clad are worth a premium.
So which you have may be worth some or 25 cents. Depending what the images may tell us.

That was fast. There is no silver on it at all. Has sharp design on both sides and edge. Will try to post pic tomorrow. Thanks

No copper nickel clad layer on either side? Then most likely it is just an environmentally discolored coin. Probably better than 99% of the time when someone reports an all copper clad coin it turns out to be a discolored coin.
