While not the greatest year for Jefferson Nickels(unless I found a 5 steps, which I did not), finding not 1, but 2 original B of A wrapped Gem BU 1967 nickels is still a sweet thing to find, loupe, and enjoy the freshness of coins 45 years old!
Many are polished from the mint workers removing clashed dies, and, add a lot to luster.
I have a question about grading(sending them into a TPG)---does a small die crack on Jefferson's head affect the grade? While I would consider many of these minimum early late die state(they don't have a lot of "orange peel"), with still decent strikes(considering the mint used very used dies to produce mid-60's 5c), most of my highest-grade coins I pulled as canidates for slabbing do have the small die crack. If that brings a coin down a point, then, their really not profit-wise, worth sending out...if I can pull off an MS65 plus, maybe. I don't think there's any chance of an MS66.

Sweet find! Really nice example shown. I have found solid rolls from back in that era myself over the years. I went through them carefully and put the very best in airtites and the rest went into 2x2's unless they were really baggy, then I sent them out in the wild again. The very best are surely worth sitting on.

The die crack should not hurt the grade, nor should other die defects like abrasions to remove clashes.

There's a bit of a conundrum with die states when it comes to grading. The sharpest detail appears on very early state dies, but they typically have somewhat poor luster (unless they were heavily polished, in which case they're proof-like). More heavily eroded dies produce coins with brilliant cartwheel luster, but less crisp detail. TPGs seem to put a lot of emphasis on luster, and LDS coins seem to make light contact marks seem less noticeable, so these coins will tend to earn higher grades.
