Hi, I am a novice at coins, discovered in my change a 1984 $1 coin and the lip height on the head side of the coin is deeper than normal. It was noticable enough to make me feel the difference when fumbling for a coin in my pocket. The coin still has the Knurls on the outside. I called a coin shop and was simply told to bring it in...can anyone suggest if this is worth more than the $1. Cheers

A picture would be very helpful. Higher rims can be a sign of a Dryer Coin though.
