I am seeing doubling around lincolns right portrait and notching in the 9 and 6. The mintmark also seems a bit misshapen as well....

please let me know your thoughts....

The 6 took a hit/smooshed but the mint mark could be an RPM

I am pretty new at this myself.But I do have a few like that and was told its Machine Doubling...

I agree with the 6 definitely, but how about the 9? is that more PMD? And is it Strike Doubling around the portrait?

I just went through about 40 that I pulled from bank rolls... I know these years are notoriously "smooshy" this one stood out from the rest because of that darned notch!

Sorry ya I see what your saying about the 9 does look like doubling to me you can see the fine line going up the 9, nice pic and hopefully nice find but sorry I'm not an expert so we shall see!!!

On the portrait it is MD, very common. The MM might be an RPM and the 9 looks like it took a hit.

It is Machine Doubling as well. When you look very close to the top edge you can see the metal striations leving lines in that area. Just another die movement damaged coin.

Note the metal striations on the bottoms of the devices.


Looking a second time there does appear to be a split in the upper serif. But on the top of the mint mark I can see a hint of the striations.
