Stopped by my local TD bank to use the cash machine and buy a box of nickels. I also drop off bags of halves at this branch(5 per week). Was told that Corporate was putting at end to bringing in bags of halves, at least at this branch. Another searcher, on this forum, was also bringing in bags at this branch. I can't pm him as I don't have enough posts yet. We have met in person. I hope he reads this as I'm trying to warn him what's going to happen at this branch. Worse yet, I expect to have my account closed.
The box of nickels held 6 War Nickels and a 1920 Buffalo. Have a good memorial day weekend everyone, MM2

No surprise there. Was this your source bank too? A golden rule of thumb is to NOT dump at the same bank that provides you with the boxes of coins. Eventually you will wear out your welcome. Doing 5 bags of halves per week at one branch is more than I would ever do. Gotta spread the love lol.

No, I buy my boxes for the most part from a different bank altogether. I just buy an occasional box of nickels or cents from this bank. The bags are $500 in halves which TD doesn't order. I think it was the fact that between myself and one other searcher, who was dropping off considerably more then myself, we must have raised some red flags. This branch is one I've been working with since 2006 back when they were Commerce bank.

It's not free to roll and transport coins, no surprise as half dollars virtually never circulate anyway and people only order them for roll hunting

Yeah I have two dump banks. I dump once a week and switch between banks so I only see them both once every two weeks. I think 5 times every week is plenty to annoy them. I am not supprised what they are doing.

It happens all the time, there are plenty of stories on this forum. I can't blame the banks. It costs them money to deal with coinage, especially half dollars which are basically no longer used in circulation.
