I have just purchased a 1883 no mintmark ICG MS-63 Morgan dollar. It was a impulse buy for $38.00. I'm not at home an when I am in a few hours I will take photos. Now I know I dont have photos up yet but did I overpay or is this an OK price? Either way what is a Rough value?

I'm not an expert at all, but it looks like you paid just about what it's worth.

sounds like a good deal to me though I wouldn't trust ICG's grade of MS63, that might be a bit inflated

We'll have to see this one to give you an honest opinion. ICG is all over the map when it comes to grading, however as mkman123 stated, they tend to overly exaggerate grades.

Photos in about an hour. It is my opinion that it is overgraded a bit. MS yes but 63 might be a stretch. I'll see what you guys think.

MS 63....you need to look at ICG holders a bit closer.....but just like other grading companies I've seen overgraded, undergraded and fairly graded coins.....buy the coin not the holder.

It is a nice MS-63, very close to MS-64.

Some may have the opinion that we have just read more nonsensical comments on non PCGS grading from elitist know it alls. Many more feel their ICG slabs are -better graded-, not 'inconsistant' or 'overgraded'
I suppose some would say that many of the kool-aid crowd are permanently blinded by the PCGS and NGC propaganda machines.
