Here is a chunk, looks like a rock its 15x15x3 mm, thick. It has a dark red tone to it. I took a file to the edge and it has has a silver color all the way threw it. The metal is very hard so I don't think it's lead.... It weighs 3.66 gm. It came with my lot of Ancients... Maybe came from the Moon!!

It doesn't resemble a coin to me. Is it magnetic?

Seriously, it could be anything if buried and given enough time. A jeweler would be able to test it for silver content.

If you had have found it in a field then I would say possibly a meteorite fragment. Does it stick to a magnet? Seeing as you found it in some coins, probably a planchet gone wrong.

That's why I asked if it were magnetic. Meteorites have a lot of nickel/iron--both highly magnetic.

I agree with enworb and DVCollector with the object resembling a meteorite. The dark coloration and smooth like appearance to me resembles a fusion crust or what's left of one. If there are any local universities near you I would suggest taking it to one of the professors in the geology or astronomy department.

Meteorites come in all sorts of combinations from non-metallic minerals to solid nickel-iron. However, metallic metorites are always magnetic; I've never heard of a meteorite made of silver. A lot of things can take on a "melted" appearance, including slag from smelting metals.
