The first US commemoratives to feature the inscription "In God We Trust" were the 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition silver half-dollar and the two 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition gold fifty dollar coins.

Of the first 16 silver and gold commemorative types issued (through the 1921 Missouri), only six of them included the motto. All subsequent commemoratives, beginning with the 1922 Grant Memorial coins, feature the motto.

Here's a list of the classic US silver and gold commemorative coins that do not include "In God We Trust" as part of their inscriptions:

- 1892/93 Columbian Exposition half-dollar
- 1893 Isabella quarter-dollar
- 1900 Lafayette Memorial silver dollar
- 1903 Louisiana Purchase Exposition/Jefferson gold dollar
- 1903 Louisiana Purchase Exposition/McKinley gold dollar
- 1904/05 Lewis and Clark Exposition gold dollar
- 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition gold dollar
- 1915 Panama-Pacific Exposition gold 2-1/2 dollar
- 1916/17 McKinley Memorial gold dollar
- 1921 Missouri Centennial half-dollar

Another interesting post.
Do you have a book with all this info on commems?
Or is it all info you have learned and remember over the years?

@Captain Morgan: I've definitely been a student of the US commemorative series over the years and have read quite a bit about the coins. The information in my posts comes from a variety of sources: my personal study of the coins and related material in my collection, articles and advertisements in coin magazines/newspapers, reference books, etc. There isn't a single source for everything I've presented. I've tried to post things that I found interesting while learning about the series from all the sources mentioned.
