hey everyone! I found a 1972-D no FG half dollar in a roll a little while ago. I was wondering if it would be worth it to have this slabbed and if so, which TPG to use? Any input would be appreciated!

Check around first to see what they may be selling for.
Also, the grade on the coin should be at least Choice Unc. if not
Gem. Minimum MS-65 and on up. On up would be even better. These are not a die variety. Just either Die Deterioration or polishing. Actually not even an error coin. However there are always people out there that like
and collect these. Ballpark figure would be if they are selling for at least $100.00 then maybe a slab. That would make it somewhat worthwhile for you. Otherwise better to sell it raw.

Always ask yourself: Would I buy this coin. If not, then it is up to you as to slab. I consider at least a $200 coin before I would slab anything. Anything questionable as to whether it was counterfitted should be slabbed to show it is geniune.
Rest in Peace

I sold one in AU for $24 at a coin show. Make sure it's a blazer before slabbing.

I agree with Indian1, get the stats before considering for submittal.

I have heard of the 1982-P no "FG", but I guess that it is possible for other dates as well.
