Well it's overgraded, it's only VF but you paid only a little over retail. You probably could've got the coin cheaper at a dealer's shop though.

with Walter that its over graded. I think VF is fair. I think the price is OK. Im hope I'm wrong but the reverse looks as if it may have once had a clean. The toning looks two tiered. By that I mean the colour around the date and lettering is a dark brown whilst the fields are a funny colour. I cant see this on the obverse.

The 1874H penny is g-aF probably worth 4-6 dollars. I have a bunch of these old Brit coppers that I have basicly ignored for the last few years. It is hard to get realy decent grade Brit copper coins pre 1900. This site is good for looking up diferent types and values of Brit coins. http://www.coins-of-the-uk.co.uk/values/penny.html

Stick to the Aussie coppers, Those Pommy copper coins will drive you insane with all the different dates and types I thought you were going to put a couple of pics of your new 1946 Aussie penny up

I can't see any major marks or scuffs in this. If the hair lines are good it must make VF-VF+ The book price on VF is $150 so I recon you did well on this coin Downside I can't see any remaining lustre so it wont make any better than VF+
