I was looking through my change and I found this 1995 quarter and I had no idea what was wrong with it. Any ideas?

Hole is clean through. Looks a tad small for a .22 round. I'm gonna guess and say a .17 caliber rifle round. A .177 air rifle pellet may just not do it. Though I may take my gamo 1000 f.p.s. plus and give it a try with diff. pellet types at diff. ranges just to see if it can cut a clean hole through.

Really? There's no hole in that coin.
It's solder. Post mint damage.

Just took it to a shop, they said that it looked like something hot touched it and it melted. I'm going to hang on to it though, a fun coin.

My guess is impact. What would be so small and so hot as to melt just that little bit? Soldering irons don't get anywhere near hot enough to melt copper.

No, Its just the inside layer that you see. There is no hole. Sorry, should've taken a better picture
