I have tried to report this auction as a deceptive title or description,, but ebay says that the listing number is not valid and will not let me send it .

any Idea how to get around that problem ?

I'm confused. What are you saying is deceptive? The fact that he is showing an entire store and you will likely get 5 or 6 coins with values straight from the PCGS overpriced website, all graded by the other two and not ANACS?

We need a sarcasm smiley. You had me going there for a minute.

It's like I told someone else today - I wish there was software that would let me slap that seller over TCP/IP.

With the shipping charge you can pretty much guess the number of coins you are going to get.
I would say 1 NGC 1 ANACS and a bunch of overpriced slabs.... maybe even 20 of them....

Show me anywhere on this auction where it says one or two or even 20 coins ? it says in the title that you are bidding on X amount of coins valued as a lot at 34,000 .

show me anywhere where you get to see any of the coins ? show me where it says that this dealer is the auction dealer ?

sorry my mistake ,, You are bidding on $36,000 worth of slabbed and graded coins

or at least that is what the description says !! the title says 34,000 ? but I'm pretty sure there is no deception there ?

Sorry Superdave, I should have definitely included the

As for the auction in question, while I agree whole-heartedly that this is deceptive to the untrained eye, I think for most (even novices), it would warrant an email to the seller to ask how many coins are involved. I've seen much worse deception on ebay. This I believe seems pretty mild IMO.

Certainly not arguing with you Metalman, and I certainly don't condone this, but I think this one is much easier to read into than others.

Is this directed towards me? lololol. As I stated, I wouldn't bid to begin with, however, my point was, even prior to my coin collecting addiction, I would have sent the seller an email to ask exactly how many coins we are talking about, and where he is getting his "values" from. Trust me, if time and money were no object for me, I would go on a crusade to get rid of as many of these sellers as possible.

That being said, I will see when the auction ends and ask the seller a question if there's enough time. One thing I have noticed, is that I have sent a lot of questions like this to sellers and very few of them ever reply. If that's not a red flag, I don't know what is.

sarcasm can go both ways tights !!

If you wont bid on the auctions then there must be a problem with it correct ?

and if there is a problem with it then the auctions should not be tolerated !

The simple fact is that no degree of deception is acceptable.
