What would be the most appropriate digital scales for determining the mass of a coin?

The time has come for me to buy scales.

Until now, I have been using the "OP" * brand. You can't buy this brand, but they do have some problems with usability and inconvenience for more than one person.

I use this http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=QM7258.
As a matter of interest I have a wholesale account with this firm and can get them cheap. If a few forum members wanted one then I can supply them at cost price (about $32, depending on number I order).

They also have a 200g version (QM7259).

I used to use a specific type of "OP", namely, the "PO" - go to the Post Office when they're not busy.

There are plenty on ebay for under $10,
My criteria:
sensitive to 0.01g;
max 50g, but 100g is better, can't see you needing more than that for coins; and
uses AA or AAA, rather than those expensive button batteries.

They're surprisingly inexpensive. I use an AWS-100, which is about $10-$12, maybe you can find it even cheaper. 0.01g accuracy, max weight 100g.

I have a very expensive digital scale I purchased 12 years ago for weighing gem stones, and about 6 years ago purchased a cheap digital scale on ebay for about 15 Dollars (shipping included in price) from China...
Believe it or not, both scales gave the exact same readings when I had to weigh & sell all my scrap gold (thank you lawyers), and would no longer second guess useing a cheap scale...

I just bought some weights to test it and it was accurate.

Can't remember where I got mine but it was only about $10. It is accurate but has been sitting on a shelf now for several years. Never could figure out why I needed one.

You're bound to find one on ebay for less than $10 which fits all of the desirable requirements as set out by Peter THOMAS.
