Hi, I inherited my grandmother's coin collection and am wondering where this coin is from and what denomination it is. Any help is appreciated, thank you.

I don't know if I've scanned them upside down or sideways, I can turn the images if needed. Also, the coin is extremely small.

Persia, India, etc., take your pick. These are almost impossible for the average American collector to attribute. You can sit down with a 19th Century Krause-Mishler catalog and leaf through, page by page, looking for the type. Not worth my time, I have about a dozen "unknowns" and they'll stay that way.

doug3333, you're missing out on a great opportunity to learn about history, geography, numismatics, art ... if nothing else, post 'em here so we can take advantage of your unknowns and have some learning fun.

It appears to be a silver chukram of one of the Indian Princely states.
How much does it weigh, and what is it's diameter?

Hello, thanks for your reply. I don't have a sensitive enough scale to weigh it; however, it measures 1.11125 cm. (7/16 in) Quite small.

A silver chukram is much less diameter than that.
