These are my new additions to my collection. There is a 1895 Quarter, 1853 3 Cent Nickel, 1883 Morgan, 1883 Morgan, 1886, and 1921. I have questions whether the Morgans are real or fake. Any help would be great and what are the conditions of the Morgans also.

Weight should be the first factor to look into regarding the authenticity of the coins.

Close ups of the coins (both sides) are needed to grade it properly.

nice coins, hope they are real.

In checking to see if a Morgan dollar is a Chinese fake look for the following things, weigh the coin, fakes are noticeably underweight, put a magnet to it if it sticks it's no good though not all of the fakes are magnetic. Look around the top edge of the perimeter of the coin for a raised seam and the fakes typically will not have mint luster, they will have a dull, flat looking appearance.

They weigh 0.95 ounces apiece which I think equals 26.93 grams, the correct weight for the Morgans, am I correct?

If you're using a digital scale, you should be able to switch it to g weight to be more precise. Morgans should weight 26.73 grams, a shade little for wear.

Take some macro shots of the Morgans...looks pretty good from the distant shots.

Did it pass the magnet test? I wonder will the tissue test work in this instance?

I forget to ask if you bought it off from a dealer or flee market or collector?

Based on the pictures, they all seem to be genuine. Close ups would be helpful to give more accurate grades. I would guess the one on the upper left would be somewhere around a choice VF to EF. The two bottom ones appear be somewhere in the AU range. The top right appears to be a high AU with a possibility of MS.

The Three Cent is actually silver, often called a trime. It is a Type I. The Three Cent Nickel was first minted in 1865.
