Hit the ATM tonight and out pops this fifty with nearly all 9's in the serial. Should I keep it?

Hmmm..., it is a pretty high serial. I'd probably keep it, but let's wait and see what goatieman has to say.

It would be worth more than $50. That's a fairly high serial and with being 1999 there is extra appeal. The premium may not be much due to the condition though.

Only 601 off!!
I do not really collect notes, but I would be tempted to keep that one.

Nice one...as enworb said the condition's a bummer, I'm surprised it's still circulating being that it's been in a couple of brawls. The serial number is nice to look at. Imagine if the last digit was a 9 instead of an 8. MB99999399. That's a lot of 9's.

I don't know if I'd keep it. Does it look better in person? Does it add a premium...I wouldn't think so in that condition. If it was in a reasonably high grade, I'd be offering so money for it. I do have a nice high serial in $50's but it's still only BD06 999895.
I have a JC98 998992 but as for the 1999 notes, none too high. I do have an error $50 in 1999 which is OA99990582. The O & A have a space between them, so instead of being OA99... it is O A99...

If I was you, I'd keep it if you don't need to spend it...I'm not sure if that answers the question.

Thanks guys, I will hang on to it then. Condition wise it's not too bad, I think the picture makes it look a little worse for wear.

Cheers
