Today I visited a coin shop in a nearby town I was unaware of until I found a listing of his on Craig's List. He has a very nice but small selection of circulated and uncirculated coins for the collector. He did have some slabbed coins but I was looking for raw coins for my type set holder. I purchased three choice BU coins which would grade at least MS-64, a 1955 Franklin half, a 1942-S Washington quarter and a 1943-P Jefferson nickel. The half has very distinct full bell lines and the nickel has just one small spot of die wear to keep it from having full steps. The quarter has some very nice peripheral toning on the obverse and reverse. His prices were fair and he dropped the price of the half by $3.00 and the quarter by $15.00. The quarter is a slightly better date which was what I wanted for this set.       Ed ANA LM-3175 |

Nice additions to your set. I need to get an uncirculated war nickle and replace the worn out junk silver I have in my set.

Great additions! This is my favorite 'set'. I'm working on my second one now. I had to sell my nearly complete first set due to financial hardship.
