I have some questions about this coin.Especially the area around "AMERICA" as the metal is raised instead of inverted as with a die crack. There is also what apears to be a crack from the olive branch, down to the "O" in "DOL".1876 Seated Liberty quarters are not high dollar coins in this condition so I see no reason someone would be making copies.
What do you think?

Have you weighed the coin? It should be 6.22 grams. This is a common date and I would be surprised if it is a copy. I think the defects were probably caused by a partially filled planchet. If it is a fake it is a darn good one. The weak strike on the motto of the word "In" is pretty common in this series.

If the metal is raised, then it is a real die crack. The inverted crack will be on the die itself.

This looks like a genuine coin to me. I can imagine a scenario in which the reverse die develops that circular die crack and the central area gradually sinks below the edge area. The central reverse area of the struck coin would then appear slightly elevated compared to the edge.

Maybe one of the forum die variety and/or error authorities could provide some expert input.

I don't know Seateds, but if that were a Morgan I'd have no trouble believing it was genuine. The area at the top of the letters near the rim is prime territory for die cracking on a Morgan, probably because of the voids in the circumference of the die left by absent lettering.

I don't know, besides the odd looking raised letters there seems to an awful lot of material connecting the I & C in AMERICA.

Another thing that looks a little odd are the arrow feathers. They seem too short or stubby, especially the lower arrow. Of course I'm not familiar with this series so it may just be normal die varieties for the series.

It looks genuine to me. Here is a CC which is in MUCH worse shape than yours, but it might be good for comparison.

Take Care

TLS,
I think you did good. It is a nice looking choice extra fine with just a couple of marks near the rim on the obverse. It would certainly go in my collection.

Thanks Colin,
This type seem to be somewhat had to find in ef-au condition.
