Here are 2 pics. I used the "mobile phone + loupe" method - sorry I have forgotten who to credit for that one. They didnt turn out all that good, but I dont think there is any doubt.

Brilliant find, that Just goes to show there are still some good coins still to be found, certainly the wavy 20 is the 'holy grail' for most of us noodlers....

Great news! Congratulations! Is it your first? Just for info, I've probably found at least 6 incuse, but never found a wavy, and I used to do a heck of a lot of noodling, but none lately.

That is my first "wavy". As some of you know from the way-too-long-running "when will ozcoins find an incuse 50c" competition, I have been looking for my second incuse 50c for a while now (along with more rotated 2010 50c). I was looking through $200 a day for quite a while, but the bank was running out of 50c and I did not want to be making a pest of myself so I started looking through less 50c and looking through some 20c as well. I have been very lucky with the "wavy", as I have not looked through many 20c. I think I will have to start on $1 soon and look for a 2000 mule!

TCH, I am not sure on stats for finding "wavys". I have not seen a good estimate of how many there are of them. I think BJW (a great noodling stats man) posted that he finds one in $18000 of 20c. I estimate I have looked through $2000, so I have been lucky!

Ozcoins, I originally thought the chances of finding a wavy 20c was Buckleys and none. Your find has inspired the rest of us. My bet is that over the next few weeks there will be a lot of 20 cent error and variety coins listed in the "noodling find of the week" post as we all ride your inspiration wave.

Congratulations ozcoins. A great find , especially as it is your first . Since finding my "wavy" back in November of last year, I have been noodling through 200-300 20 cent pieces per week. So that would be about 5200 - 7600 coins in the interim (not counting the Xmas holidays). No luck with finding a second. The Wavy definitely takes "pride of place" in my collection. Squire
