This just arrived in the mail:

My-First-Silver-Bar

I bought it from Goldmart at $0.59 per ounce over spot. Unfortunately, I bought it just before silver dropped from $28.60 to $26.60. Oops. Ah well, after the drop I bought a 100-ounce Johnson Matthey bar, and that one should arrive next week some time. Of course, by then silver will probably be at $23...

I'll bet the delivery person loved lugging that around! Size to weight ratio (6.85714 lb) is pretty dense.

I could perform an ultrasonic test (or radiograph) on it to ensure that it is real throughout.

That thing is rough an scratched up, rugged like a 100 pz. bar should be, freakin beautiful! I like it, gives it personality, one of a kind....

Looks like some fool hardy nervous pawn shop guy drop tested some 18K acid on that thing a time or two, like anyone needs to drop test or scratch or drill a 100 oz. Engelhard, lol....

This is one of the P series bars, per http://about.ag/Engelhard-100oz.htm:

Looking forward to seeing your JM!

As an aside (and I mentioned this in another thread), I just noticed that goldmart has now raised the premium on the Engelhard and JM 100-ounce bars from $0.59/ounce to $69/ounce. So, even though silver is now $0.10 cheaper than it was when I bought the JM bar, the sale price is currently exactly the same...

That tells me Barry they are digging for every penny to try an keep from losing more money on those bars as the prices fall, and the orders come in.....
