A recent acquisition, which ended an 8 year hunt for one this grade, and full red. I compared this one to the ICCS MS-66 that Hugh Powell had in his case at Coin Expo, and this one, while one grade point lower, is better in my opinion, because it has more original lustre.

That is a very impressive coin SPP. Congrats on finding it, and having the patience to wait 8 years!

This coin is in a 2x2 I presume, that is why we are seeing a few marks and cloudiness?

The coin is in a ICCS MS-65 flip. Sorry for the photography, but it is not easy capturing the beauty of this coin through two layers of plastic.

I paid well above Trends for this coin. Trends is about right for a MS-64 with about 50-60% red (ICCS still calls that 'Red'). There are three MS-65 Red in the PCGS registry (which means >90% red) and this is only the second one I have seen in an ICCS holder - that I would call red by PCGS standards. For grade rarity coins, Trends really does not apply...
