Not really sure how to grade this one. I want to grade the reverse in the AU-50+ range. Obverse is the side that has slid across a few bars over the years, so not really sure where to put it...XF-ish?

And on top of that, it has a few rim dings...

So, my problem is now that I'm not really sure how to add up all of this and come up with a grade...can you guys help out?

thanks
Anders

I'm thinking EF-40 details. The rim tics don't help and it appears to have been cleaned.

I couldn't spot any micro scratches through a loupe, and the ones that are visible to the naked eye don't show the consistency in the scratch pattern.

Quite a bit of luster left on the rev, bad lighting though, so it doesn't show very well.

Detail is better than an EF but the obverse hairlines (plus the small rim dings) constitute a defect. Probably a grading service would call it cleaned although it might have been mishandled any number of ways to produce the scratches. Maybe bar-sliding is as good an explanation as any!
