I was curious, but wasn't the original ship date listed in August? Now the mint is quoting 9/28/2012...

The original ship date I saw was around July 24th. Maybe that has to do with when you ordered your set. Since I ordered my set on the second day mine may ship out around July 24th. If you order now your set may ship later. Just a guess.

I think for the people who ordered early on, their ship date will still be 7/24, and if you were to order today, it will be 9/28.

The September ship date for later orders was mentioned in the main thread a couple of days ago.
The original ship date listed for earlier orders is July 27th not the 24th....

I just checked my order going to ship out the 27th!
And I am little surprise that the ordered amount is currently at 152K +...
Maybe it will go higher once near the end date.

The 152047 total posted today represents a slight slowdown over the weekend compared to the rise that posted late last week. The weekend average was 2291 per day, still above the low of 1210 posted last Tuesday but well below the 3281 posted Friday. I sort of expect to see the numbers bounce in the one to four thousand range until the final push, if it happens. My projections for a final total are at about 200,000 right now. Again, the "expected ship date" is not something the mint puts any thought into. It is just a date they make up to mean "sometime in the future". The difference between the 7/27 and the 9/28 dates may have some meaning, but the absolute dates do not. I expect the mint to allow shipping to begin shortly after sales conclude and for it to continue until the first production run is exhausted. Then, if the second run is ready, shipping will continue, and if not there will be a gap before shipping resumes and then continues until all orders are filled. The sudden and large jump in shipping dates appears to tell us that the initial production was about 150,000 and it is either complete or is expected to be before sales conclude. It further suggests that the second (and apparently final) production run won't begin until sales conclude and the number of coins required is known. The mint will overstrike by a small amount and once the last return windows have expired they will put a few sets in their permanent collection and waffle and melt the rest.

wow the month is going fast, only one week to go (thursday) I wonder if there will be a significance push coming to the last week of ordering figuring by thursday the total maybe will hit 170? and with one week to go everyone who didnt order yet or just wants another set - we shall see I'm still thinking 250K give or take 10k

Is anyone really expecting these 2 B "something 2 have", as far as profiteering goes, just because the total mintage numbers may fall below 200,000 ?

If you are an Eagle Collector they are a must have. If you are a Speculator it could go either way. Personally I am a Collector and placed my order at 12:05 on the 7th I will send 6 sets in to PCGS hoping to get my 2 PR70 sets, of Course FS anything beyond my 2 sets I will sell on ebayand keep 6 sets in OGP

Not to bring bad news but I would be surprised if you got anything more than 1 to keep yourself and thats not assured either. Ive send in 15 modern commems fresh from the mint and ended up with all 69s

I just ordered 2 sets about an hour ago. So my orders will be added to tomorrow's tally. And I was surprised at the ship date of September 28. But that is my birthday and it would be a very nice present!

Guess I have been lucky, With 3 Submissions I have received 33% 70s, from 3 sets of 2011 I got (5) 70s 4 were proofs/reverse proofs. And these are all proofs which should have a better return

Ordered mine last night and my ship date is also 9/28. Wow.
The nice thing is by the time it arrives in October, it will have been so long since I ordered it that it will be a surprise. And silver is never a bad thing to get in the mail. Even if it's vastly over-priced.

What submission level do you use when you send them in? Definitely got a good string of luck going there hope it continues, feel free to send some my way lol

I shipped two Reverse Prf 11's and two "S" Mint along with two Reverse Prf 06's. All the Rev Prf's came back 69 and the two S's came back 70. That was to NGC on a free re-up coupon.
