Just a random question. Which Quarter series you think look better? I do not know how to make a poll sorry. In my humble opinion, I think the America the Beautiful Quarters look much better in design :) - Statehood Quarters

I think you'll find that most people agree with you. I do. In my opinion the State Quarters designs are rather pedestrian compared to the ATB Quarters. However, an assembled set of State Quarters is pretty nice to look at regardless.

ATB is the much better looking set, but for me, I still have a soft spot for the states because they were the first to come out. they are the "original" and they got me into coin collecting. again though, to answer your question, ATB are far and away the better looking series.

I think the ATB Quarters are better, but I think it's easier to make a great looking reverse for a coin that's part of the series that has some of the most beautiful and amazing sights in America. I also like their idea to go with a raised edge inside the rim of the coin and then the design looks cut into it rather than raised off a flat surface.

The ATB are better and I wish they had just made them the original State Quarters. But I guess hindsight is 20/20. I was and still am opposed to doing the back-to-back quarters series. I would rather they had gone with a new permanent design rather than the ATB Quarters. I had written a letter to my representatives to put the ATB theme on the $2 bill but that obviously got nowhere. I think the horizontal shape of the bill and greater capacity for detail could have made for some really beautiful panoramic designs, not to mention give the coinage series a break. The law authorizing the ATB Quarters allows for ANOTHER ATB series immediately after this one ends. I hope hope hope they don't do it.

That's the most thing I love about them :) Quote: I think the horizontal shape of the bill and greater capacity for detail could have made for some really beautiful panoramic designs, not to mention give the coinage series a break. Actually that is very creative and I'm sure it would have looked beautiful :)

Fuzzy317, I was wondering when will someone come out and say that they like the Statehood Quarters more. It's all a matter of taste :)

I vote ATB too, but I don't think it's a completely fair question - it's a lot harder to come up with an attractive design that represents an entire state but be small enough to fit legibly on a quarter than it is to come up with a design for a National Park. That having been said, there are some very pretty Statehood Quarters out there, especially from the latter half of the series. I really like Nevada, Alaska, and Oklahoma myself, just to name a few.

Overall the ATB, I like some of the state ones a lot but some of the State ones were also terrible
