I have recently received a very worn but readable 1913 Liberty Head Nickle. It looks authentic and I would like to know if it is. I have no knowledge of coin collecting and am looking for any sources that can help to confirm the coins authenticity

to the CCF!

Can you post a picture of your coin? This would help us be able to authenticate it.

If it is real, which is highly unlikely I am sorry to say, then it would be worth a lot of money as there are only five known.

I personally can't wait to see it!

That would be a very rare find indeed.

There are true experts here who can assist you ... take some clear photos and post them.

I will gladly post a picture of both sides of this coin but am not sure how to go about it. Can you walk me through the process? I am new to this site and am completely lost.

That would be the find of all finds! Maybe there will be 6 known examples?

I use photobucket, IMG code, copy & paste.
As you may know, incredibly rare coin, 7 figures.
Hey, let's see it.

Sorry folks I am totally lost in trying to copy the pictures of this coin to the forum. Using a computer for this tpye of exercise is new to me. I just signed up to photobucket and imported the photos to that site but am still confused. I will follow-up again tomorrow and hopefully I will have better luck.

I hope you have the real deal, but you should be aware that it is only about a 1 in a million chance that you do.

I'm pretty sure all the 1913 Liberty nickels are accounted for, finding a new one would be earth shaking.
Just put the pic on your desktop, make sure it's under 100k in size, (using any photo software) and use the upload image link, (under the text box in the "reply to topic link")
