For the last 18 months I have had the opportunity to help out a few days a week at one of the best coin shops in the Pensacola area. One of the things I like most is seeing all the really nice coins that get bought and sold. About two weeks ago this coin came into the shop and it really looks nice. It just got back from NGC today I thought it would be nice to share with CCF 1793 large cent

I LOVE those edge view holders. Really "shows" off the coin.

S-11, if I have it right, based on the orientation of the leaves above the date and the right-shifted fraction. At AU50 among the dozen or so finest-known of the variety. A similar coin in PCGS/CAC sold for north of $43k at Heritage at this year's FUN auction.
This is an important coin.

Quote: Thanks Dave .. that is some very good information Don't take my words as gospel - I'm not an expert on the series. A coin of this importance needs to be accurately attributed. Even if I'm correct with S-11, there are various sub-varieties and die states which are relevant information as well. Someone who knows these Cents as an expert needs to look at the coin.
