Hello, I just got these for my birthday today! I got the 2 coins as a gift and the bar was kinda a gift ( they paid a little bit) and I paid the rest, so basically $24oz for the bar. Lastly I made it to 50oz! Does anybody know anything about the company that makes the bar? Thanks everyone Edited by coincollect1 06/29/2012 2:20 pm

Happy b-day CC and I as well like the new pieces, esp the rare bar....
I was baffled by that IRSCO so I did some research in google....
Could not find a thing until I broke it up on a hunch, via IRS-company in which case I discovered an old pour company called I.R.S. via a thread from another coin forum.....
I find it humorous that they would be bold enough to tag a name like that on a bullion company, which may draw UN-nessicary attention shall we say....
I suppose the actual I.R.S, may have once molded their own bars, lol....

coincollect1, You are going to love this. Your bar differs greatly from the one Hawk found. Yours is a simpler, has clearer markings, and happens to be marked by a company not in the business of producing bars as a final product, the Imperial Smelting & Refining Co. Of Canada Ltd. which does business as Irsco Products. (451 Denison St, Markham, ON L3R 1B7, Canada, (905) 475-9566) [ http://www.manta.com/ic/mtq87j6/ca/...f-canada-ltd] This company was originally established in 1914 and appears to be a subsidiary of Umicore Canada Inc. which produces jewelry and industrial metals per their website. ( http://www.umicorepreciousmetals.com)Way more than any one of us wanted to know, right? The point is, your profile shows that you are from Toronto, Canada....Markham, ON is ONLY 20 miles away. I'd say the bar is a product of the Imperial Smelting & Refining Co Of Canada Ltd. Very, very nice. :)
