It's pretty minor and the note's a little beat up. It'll be up to you to decide whether you want to tie up $50. I'd use it as a trader towards something better, then you might get a nice premium (through a trade) than you would trying to sell it.

Not being an expert on U.S. notes, what I do find attractive (interesting) are all the "A"'s on the note. That may count as something from other note collectors.

I don't know note errors very well, but I would think it's not worth much of a premium, partly because it's minor and partly because of its condition. I personally wouldn't want to tie up $50 to keep it for the possibility that some day someone might want it for $60.

Best bet is to list it on ebay for $50 plus shipping and see what happens. If nothing else it will go to a good home at face plus shipping to someone who would appreciate it. I really don't think anyone would end up hurt that way, because they might get a decent deal, but you would be passing it along to someone who would preserve it instead of just cashing it in.

Remember the ebay and Paypal charges, I think, about 13% in fees. I personally would not list it for starting under $57.00 plus shipping or you could come out with a loss.

Oh, yeah...thanks for the clarification. What I really meant was to list it so there would be no profit, but no loss either. If it turns out that you get a profit, then you've gained financially. If it turns out that you break even, then you've gained by providing a collector with a piece they will enjoy.

I completely agree...don't offer it at a loss.
