I got this in the mail today, and figured people would like a shot at grading it! Also, what do you think of the quality of pictures? I'm still looking to improve on my pictures for coins, since I've been selling them. So any tips on top of your guess, would be great. Thanks!

Are you able to post a clearer set of photos? These are a little fuzzy making it real tough to grade from.

I was thinking the same thing, which is why I mentioned the wanting tips on how to photograph it. I didn't think they looked good. I'll keep trying.

What sort of camera are you using? I'll guess MS66, all of these '38-D seem to be MS66.

Brian Use a tripod and a timer or a remote switch. Also you might try manual focus if the camera permits it. What causes blurry pics is movement or out of focus. The exposure looks OK.
auto focus is focusing on the slab? Is it slabbed?

Yes, it is slabbed. I'm remote shooting from my laptop, and the camera is on a tripod, so movement is not an issue. I'll try a manual focus. I've had nothing but issues with trying to focus. I can take much more clear macro pictures with my PowerShot A1200, but the lighting is all of then.

I may be wrong, but I'm thinking MS64. These last year Buffaloes tend to jump out at ya in the higher grades of MS and this one doesn't do that to me. 38 for Denver was a banner year for minting.

I will guess MS-65 but the pictures are a bit fuzzy. From a marks standpoint, it looks like it could be MS-66, maybe better but there appears to be a little of a haze on the coin which could subdue the luster a bit.
