Hello Everyone,

Thank you for the response to my 1st post. 2nd post is a 2012D penny that appears to have a ring around the collar. Upload scans of obverse and reverse (sorry for poor quality, but your site doesn't let me upload large files). Reverse has halo around from point of shield though top lettering. Blocky raised sections are noted between each letter to the rim (lineage separating raised sections). Obverse is more pronounced with separate edge along left side of "L" in LIBERTY down to Lincoln's right shoulder. Blocky raised sections are common to the left side. Seen similar "wave action" in other coins including some 1966 pennies, but none so pronounced!

Probably another common occurrence...Al

It's a form of Die Deterioration. Very common.

And the poor image quality is not because of this site...it's more because of either your scanner or your software that does not properly save the images in an optimized file format...either that or you just don't know how to use them properly. I can get an image that fills your screen to upload to this site.
