I am in unknown waters here and not even really able to doggie paddle my way through.

I have what appears to be a Chinese cast cash coin. I can find similar types of coins in my catalog but I can not find the exact type of coin. It my be to old to be listed in my catalog (1901-2000).

Any help would be appreciated.

The design is that of a cash of the Qian Long emperor (1735-1796), but unfortunately yours is a "feng shui" replica; the spotty background is the giveaway that this coin is actually machine-struck; the original coins were cast.

These were sold in sets of 10 emperors in a package. The pieces were all machine struck, with raised "warts", and the style of writing is wrong for most of the characters.

Thank you both for your comments. I'll toss it in my junk box so it doesn't end up back in "circulation."
