Date looks messed with. Also, reverse appears diagnostically incorrect.

Well, he's putting his stellar 100% feedback on the line for that coin. It's such a lowball piece that most people would be turned off, it is a "fair" filler coin.

My concern is that the reverse doesn't really show the shallow N that's an indicator of authentic 1877 IHCs. Pictures are really lousy! The second 7 is usually a bit lower than the first, but this one may be too low. Again - it's in bad shape with terrible pictures.

No way is that coin legit. The second 7 is way to low and no weakness with the N on the reverse.
ie: what Dave said

The lack of a weak N is a huge tip-off. I don't know why they never seem to get that right on counterfeits.

I think it is a counterfeit piece and it should be reported.

The amount of wear and damage on the front does not match that of the reverse. Reverse N not correct.

Quote: this was already removed 99% of 1877's are fake on ebay Ahh, more like 40-50%. I've bought several raw genuine ones on the bay, I know what to look for. If you are just starting out in the series, certification is a must.
