Since they aren't being minted anymore, where are they all? Are the banks hoarding these? or are all of you?

You can find them at some banks, but they are being horded by dealers and collectors a like. Occasionally youll get lucky with a bank and someone will bring in some to deposit

You can still pick up the Susan B's on a regular basis at the local banks around me. I was able to pick up 10 of them just today. On the other hand trying to find Eisenhower dollars takes a lot more patience and is strictly a hit or miss proposition. I'm able to pick them up from the banks from time to time. Just need patience for the Ike's but the Susan B's are a lot easier to pick up. But yes I do keep all that I come into contact with and at the present time I intend to keep right on doing so.

I just picked up 15 Eisenhower's at a community bank this afternoon, but that's the first time in a very long time I got that many. I have better luck with SB.

They are siting under my bed hiding right now , along with an equal amount of SBA's (just dont have a picture handy for the SBA's). I got lucky and ran into more than 1000 of them.

Hehe the last 6 Ikes I found at a bank were all fire-damaged (which is why, I assume, they were cashed in). :-P
I get rolls of SBAs in every dollar coin box.

My dad is friends with the head teller at the local bank so he had her call up the armored truck service, they had them delivered the next week! Most armored truck services wont even touch the Ikes any more because of there weight and size. So I got SUPER Lucky. However for the Susan B Anthonys you just have to order regular dollar coins so they are mixed in with the newer golden dollar coins. If you ever place an order to look for something your trying to find please dont return all the rejects to the bank. That is what makes them mad and not want to order them in the future, just spend them As you can see in the picture below some of the rolls in that box have SBA's and some are the golden dollars. I usually find 2 or 3 SBA's per rolls. Sometimes the whole roll is

Here's the one I keep on my desk: I was told by the teller that they were recovered from a lock box that had been in a fire, and that they also came with some charred bills. They referred the bills to the BPE.

Picked up 1 Ike & 10 SBA's at the bank today. I have the Ike so I will put it back out, but I keep the SBA's. I Needed 2 for hole fillers. Just need the 81's now. Also got 10 Kennedy's.

I see SBAs mixed in with Presidentials and Sacagaweas at banks all the time. Ikes are harder to come by, though. I find a few here and there at banks; earlier this year, I found 26 at one bank!

Does anyone think that the SBA will be worth something in the future? I ordered boxes of dollars from the banks and probably found 500 or so including 150 near date 1979's. Most in au condition but some bu also.
