Heh, I was for a couple years. It's actually pretty easy to find supply banks where I live/work. I was ordering 40 boxes from one bank, and 20 from another for about 20 weeks straight. They knew exactly why I was ordering the pennies and had no issue ordering them for me. The 40box/week bank on 2 occasions messed up and ordered 80 boxes for me. Those weeks I had to look up my car specs to see if 120 boxes was over the weight limit. It was and I'm happy to say I didn't wreck on the highway spilling coin everywhere.

Personally, I prefer the task of cracking paper rolls, rather than getting shorted by brinks plastic rolls. I really miss getting pennies and finding IHC's and early teen wheats. I just don't miss the work sorting in this kind of volume requires.

Yeah M0nks you said it. Coin Roll Hunter beware, CWR's run a high risk of being funky. Like pennies in dime rolls, etc.

If I returned rolls to the bank they would be exactly what they should be. Only time I would consider returning it short is if I hadn't left the bank and it was clearly short.

I get that from time to time but I rarely hunt from rolls anymore. When it did happen I would go to the bank where I got it, point it out, and then proceed to count a few rolls in front of them from fresh rolls so that they believe me, and sometimes they show up short right in front of a teller. The worst trick is putting wax or gum in between coins to lengthen the roll. Dirty! Or pennies in a nickel roll.

All the time! Since I'm mostly searching cent rolls it doesn't bother me much. Part of the price of wanting to search CWR's over BWR's. Get a lot of dimes too; usually about a dozen per week (150-200 rolls searched per week on average).

I stopped buying CWR's from banks because they were short too often. You do miss out on some great finds by only getting BWR's. I never understood by CWR's have dimes in them. How does a person mistake a dime for a penny when counting out 50 pennies?

I get shorted all the time as well. It really bothers me that I get pennies in dime rolls, but not dimes in penny rolls.

I have such bad luck I've gotten PENNIES in HALF DOLLAR rolls!! I can understand when I get a penny in place of dime (which sucks also) but a half dollar, really?!?!?

Pennies in half dollar rolls? Wow. I've seen them with 19 halves and 2 quarters before.. One teller told me she got a bunch of washers in some half dollar rolls! When I first started bringing her halves, she would open them all. Now she trusts me and doesn't even count them.

How long did those deposits take? Checking each roll, sounds painful...

How the heck do you miss the big penny sticking out of the dime roll? That sort of thing would never happen on my watch.

Everytime I get rolls from the bank, the very least I do is shake the roll if it's plastic. That's how I gauge them fast, and the tellers are surprised when I tell them it's short.

Once, after depositing $2.5K in bills and another $20-ish in rolls they actually shook my rolls and felt them out..... Seriously? Why didn't they check my bills, too?

I get enough dimes in my penny rolls that I don't worry to much about the count.

In the past week I have got 8 dimes, a 1998 British penny, a DHO token and a little gold maple leaf.(Likely plated, looks like it was a pin at one time.)
This was in addition to 2 rare variety coins I found.

Been shorted on half rolls several times. Usually someone put a british large penny in there, but also found a 2 Peso coin from the Philipenes, a $1 Zimbabwe coin, and a St Christopher medal. It was not common, but did happen from time to time.
