This is a silver Syracuse 32 litrai (about 28g.) of Hieron II of Syracuse, 275-215 BC, which should sell for at least $10k if genuine. This one is not. Style is off and it does not even look like real silver but painted pot metal? The one below is: http://www.acsearch.info/record.html?id=51672

maria, I do not collect Greek coins, but I do believe this coin may be from Syracuse, circa 220 BC. I cannot speak to it's authenticity, but there are members on this forum who can help in that regard.

to the community I don't collect Greek coins, but from what I can see this does not look real. The metal looks like lead with what looks like the remains of some silver.

Tough love before we even see the coins: The higher the value, the greater the chance the coins are fake. Every week it seems we hear of another dealer that should know better gets caught with another high end fake. For your sake, I hope you have low value coins. The number of $10k items in hands outside the pedigreed high end collectors and dealers is a very small number while the number of coins grandpa paid $100 for in 1945 that are neither fake nor stolen is getting small.
