Hello all. This is my first time posting anything on this forum. I started collecting coins a few weeks ago when I found a 1882 Shield nickel in an old box of change. Anyways, the other day my mother game me a display case with 9... well, I'm not sure what to call them. Bullion coins? Medals? Commemorative coins? I don't think they're technically coins since they don't have a denomination or a country name on them. They do say they are 1 troy ounce of .999 silver. Apparently the medal or coin is called a Silver Pegasus and they were produced by a local (now obsolete) mining company. The reverse of each coin has a different historically significant local mining location for each year. I was wondering if they might have any numismatic value beyond the spot price of silver. I've attached a picture of the obverse and it strikes me as a very beautiful coin. Even in they don't have any additional value, I could never sell them because I found out my mother designed them! Anyways, I really want to know what all of you think of them!

I like the design. They could be called bullion or silver rounds.

Thanks for the clarification! In which case, I'm sorry if this thread is in the wrong section.

The story that goes with these coins is wonderful. If you can get some documentation to go with them it will tell your children the story and give them a sense of family. Even if you just write down your Mom's account it will be good. They are certainly worth more than melt value.
Nice start to collection. Have fun!

Is this silver plated or solid silver?
I see no statement of fineness or weight.

It is solid silver. The declaration of weight and silver content is on the reverse. I've included a picture of the reverse of one of them. There is a different scene on the back of each coin. As you can see, they are 1 troy ounce of .999 fine silver.
