1896-O is one of Morgans that is conditionally rare and the TPG's are very critical on them. I think the best this could do is AU58. Very nice example though.

I agree with 62/63 and don't think it has been cleaned.

Looking closely at the cheek and breast feathers I've got to go with a nice slider AU-58.

It looks like there is just a touch of wear, so AU-58.

The surfaces look original, but.... It's a $200 coin in AU and a $2500+ coin in MS62. I really don't see a TPG creating wealth to that extent; they're running scared these days. To my (slightly) educated eye, there's a strong argument in favor of this being a Mint State, weak-strike New Orleans coin. Not that I'd expect to see it that way in a slab.

Somewhat subjective but to me this has the look of an AU coin or possibly an MS one that has been over-dipped. In either case, I think AU-58 is the appropriate market grade.

Au-55 is my take on this one.Above the ear looks a little worn. Also does not look cleaned.

I'm going to go with Ssuper Dave on this one. It looks like a weak strike no matter what the grade. I say that because although the breast feathers are an issue I can't really see wear on the wing tips or other high areas on the reverse. I would have to see it in hand but AU58 if I can see wear in hand or ms62...though I think it might well technically grade as an ms63...but I agree I just don't see them handing you that kind of money.

Hair above ear and breast feathers could be weak strike. But looking at the cheek, side of the nose and above the eye does not give me the feeling this is mint state. Only way to know for sure is to send it in for grading.

Love the details. Looks like an MS62 to me. But that is only me.

This to me is a perfect example of a "two beer dollar". The strike is good, the luster is good, minimal bagmarks, but put into circulation by the New Orleans mint and then taken out of circulation a month later and resealed in to Treasury Bags. This happened frequently with Morgans struck at the New Orleans Mint. There are many sliders of this date. The photo shows wear on the eagles breast, not a weak strike.

I think AU-53 and no to the cleaning, this might be a good candidate for TPG, a MS-62 grade could net you a lot of profit it comes back that way, but odds are it will grade at low AU, still a very nice coin.
