I can't see any wear from these pictures so I'd say that this was a mint state coin "MS". Some scratches, so maybe a lower MS. This date does seem to have two varieties (position A & B). Position A: Coins with portrait side down having upright edge lettering and, Position B: Coins with portrait side up having upright edge lettering. If your coin is position A, then you have bullion value. If you have position B then you may have a coin $800++.

Thank you so much!

Mine is portrait side down having upright edge lettering, but I tell you what, it's worth a lot more than bullion value to me.

I'm glad I could be of assistance. Is there a story behind the coin, if I might ask, since you value it more than its nominal value?

As fas as I know, it's my only gold coin. The other reason I value it more is because it's old. I found it because when I was young I visited my relatives in Europe and asked everyone to hand over any coin they can. With this particular coin, no one believed it was gold, and I believe that's why it slipped through to me.
